The latest entry in the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, Megadimension Neptunia VII is making its way to Steam this summer.

Megadimension Neptunia VII brings the next-gen battle to Steam this summer! Originally launched on the PlayStation®4 system, now PC players can enjoy the features enjoyed in the original – including new characters, three worlds to save and three stories to play, a powerful transformation mode, an updated battle system, and a new dungeon minigame! The PC version comes with the option for a smooth-as-pudding 60fps experience and the original Japanese voiceover, with bundles of the original DLC available for purchase!

It seems like Idea Factory is continuing the trend of bringing Neptunia games to PC several months after their console counterpart. Its a good thing to see more people will get a chance to play, what I think, is the best game in the series to date. To read our full review on the PS4 version click here.

Moreover, the auras of the 30 new and classic songs they perform, and the nearly 300 modules (costumes) they’ll wear, will have an important impact on the many different challenges.
There’s also a new Concert Editor feature, which allows players to take on the role of producer by customizing their own shows with unlocked songs, modules, and accessories! And just as was announced for the Japanese version, the Concert Editor’s Live View mode will support PlayStation VR!Support will be enabled after the launch of PSVR as a free digital update.
In between bouts of intense rhythm gameplay fueled entirely by the creative, collaborative Miku community, players can interact with Miku and her friends and forge relationships!

Nintendo Has Shipped 4.27M Copies of Splatoon

In the recent investor’s meeting from Nintendo, Nintendo was happy to report that Splatoon’s success continues to shine even as we approach the one year anniversary  of the title. Nintendo has reported that they have shipped 4.27 million copies of Splatoon.

The driving factor behind Wii U hardware sales over the fiscal year ended March 2016 was Splatoon, released in May of last year. Strong sales have continued into 2016, leading us to ship 4.27 million units worldwide in this fiscal year. This title started off with early appeal among core gamers and has gradually spread to the young consumer and female demographics, providing an excellent illustration of Nintendo’s strengths.

Splatoon is also still extremely popular in Japan, with currently 1.49 Million units sold, and with 790,000 players participating in the most recent Splatfest in Japan alone.

Nintendo has also reported that in Japan alone the Splatoon Amiibos have sold near 1 Million units.25l.jpg

It’s really good to see a new IP from Nintendo taking off extremely well like this. It will be interesting to see how sales continue to grow, and what future the series has.

Star Fox Guard Review

Publisher: Nintendo of America

Platform:Wii U

A Copy Was Acquired Through the Purchase of Star Fox Zero

Nintendo seems to always be taking different takes and spins on different types of genres. Whether it be the shooting genre with Splatoon or racing with Mario Kart 8, we now have Nintendo trying their hand on the Tower Defense genre with Star Fox Guard. Needless to say, Nintendo has once again worked their magic, taking an already established genre they have not dealt with before and adding their own Nintendo Flare to it.

Harvest Moon Seeds of Memories Stealthy Releases Onto iOS

Harvest Moon Seeds of Memories stealthily releases onto apple devices everywhere. You can pick up the game for $9.99. According to the games page it released yesterday with little to no fanfare from the games developer and publisher Natsume. This is Natsume’s second attempt at a full fledged standalone Harvest Moon title after Harvest Moon The Lost Valley, which opened up to less than favorable reviews from critics, however this game truly seems to be returning to the original series roots, as it looks as it’s trying to embody Friends of Mineral Town and the SNES game.

Harvest Moon Seeds of Memories will also be launching onto Android devices, PC and Wii U sometime later in the year. We will of course be covering this game more when it launches onto other platforms.

Story of Seasons Good Friends of Three Villages will be launching in Japan in the next few months. No word from XSEED yet on when we can expect to see the game in the states, but hopefully the good sales of the most recent Story of Seasons game will encourage priority of this game!

Disclaimer: Story of Seasons is the life/farming simulator known as Bokujō Monogatari in Japan, the series was rebranded from Harvest Moon to Story of Seasons in 2014 when Marvelous AQL acquired XSEED Games and shifted localization from Natsume to XSEED.

A New Story of Seasons Title Has Been Confirmed

The latest entry in the Bokujō Monogatari series has been revealed today in the latest issue of Famitsu.

CYhtl_mUsAAncoN

The game is pretty far in development, and it seems to be looking to expand on a lot of the mechanics introduced in Harvest Moon A New Beginning when it comes to the ability to build your own town. It also seems like there will be a plentiful amount of places to visit this time around. Its nice to see Marvelous going all out with the customization route in this series now. Odds are this game will hit shelves in Japan sometime this year, however no word from XSEED on when we can expect to see this game in the west. However we shall keep you all posted as news develop!

For those of you wanting to scratch that Story of Seasons itch, never fear as XSEED also has you covered as the crossover Return To Popolocrois A Story of Seasons Fairy Tale will be hitting the States in the coming months. No word on when it will be out in Europe.
