Hatsune Miku Project Diva X Launches in Europe Digital Only August 30, Demo August 9th

This morning SEGA has announced that the upcoming Hatsune Miku game, Hatsune Miku Project Diva X, will launch in Europe on August 30th, the same day as the American release. Unfortunately while the game is coming to Europe it will only be available digitally.
For our pals in PAL territories, we’ve got some good news! Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X will be releasing on the PS4 and PS Vita as a digital-only title on Aug. 30, 2016 – the same day as the Americas!

For those fans who want to try the game before it comes out, well we have good news for you. SEGA will be releasing a demo of Hatsune Miku Project Diva X on August 9th.
For Hatsune Miku fans or those interested in trying her latest rhythm game iteration, a demo will be available for both North America and Europe beginning on Aug. 9. The demo features three songs: Satisfaction, LOL -lots of laugh-,and Raspberry * Monster on Easy or Normal difficulties. Players will be able to unlock a handful of costume modules for Hatsune Miku, and even create a custom Music Festival medley of their own design as an Event Request. The demo will be available for PS4 and PS Vita, and will be PSTV compatible.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse Releases September 20th
In the wake of the news of Atlus announcing a new European publisher, Atlus just recently announced the North American release date for Shin Megami Tensei IV:Apocalypse. The game will be released in North America on September 20th.
Don’t let your guard down – the end is nigh! Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse will release in the Americas on Sept. 20. And for our European fans, as mentioned in a separate announcement this morning, SMTIVA will be released physically and digitally in PAL regions by our new partner, Deep Silver. (Release date for Europe is still TBD)

While it is unfortunate that there is currently no European release date, it is good to see that the game will still hit Europe in a physical and digital format unlike Shin Megami Tensei IV which only was released digitally.

Deep Silver is now Publishing Atlus and Select SEGA Games in Europe
This morning Deep Silver came out with an announcement about a partnership with Atlus and SEGA:

It is good to see that Atlus has found another publisher after NISA decided to go their separate ways from the JRPG giant. In the past Atlus and select SEGA games have had a difficult time making their way into Europe. Let’s hope that this new deal between Atlus and Deep Silver will speed up the time it takes games to hit Europe. Deep Silver has confirmed their first games they are brining over are Persona 5 and Shin Megami Tensei IV:Apocalypse.
Update: Atlus has released an official PR release in light of the news, including a statement from Deep Silver:

7th Dragon III Code VFD Demo Is Now Live
A demo for Sega’s upcoming game 7th Dragon III Code VFD is now live on the Nintendo eShop!
Itching to take some revenge out on the dragons? Or have an overwhelming knack for saving humanity? Good news! SEGA is releasing a demo in the Americas today for 7th Dragon III Code: VFD on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS, and you can get some hands-on time for your dungeon crawler fix!
Best part? Demo saves transfer over to the main game, and are not only encouraged, but rewarded! The demo provides players with a streamlined pre-made group with a character cap of level 10, and once you transfer the save data to the full game, you can refund all the skill points and customize the group any way you want. Oh, and notice how in the first sentence of this paragraph I say “rewarded?” Well, you’re just gonna have to play the demo to find out what we mean.-PR

Atlus to Localize Caligula for the West
In a PR email tonight, Atlus has confirmed that they will be partnering with Fuyru to bring Caligula to the west digitally on the PlayStation Vita next Spring.
ATLUS and FuRyu are partnering once again to localize and release Caligula as a digital download title for the PlayStation®Vita in the Americas AND Europe next spring. We’ll have more details later, but we couldn’t resist packing this surprise to close out E3!

Atlus also confirmed that they will be keeping in the original Japanese audio with it. This isn’t the first time Atlus has teamed up with FuRyu to bring a game to the west, the last one on Vita was Lost Dimension.

Neir Automata Releases Early 2017, New E3 Trailer
Square Enix has announced that the JRPG being co-developed by Platinum Games, Neir Automata, will be releasing in early 2017 for the PlayStation 4.
NieR: Automata™, the SQUARE ENIX® and PlatinumGames developed, action-RPG title, will be available to fans in early 2017 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. The highly anticipated follow up to the 2010 cult-classic NIER®, NieR: Automatatells the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 and their battle to reclaim the mechanoid-driven dystopia overrun by powerful weapons known as “machine lifeforms.”

XSEED Localizing Story of Seasons Trio of Towns, Akiba’s Beat and Fate/Extella
XSEED today has just announced three upcoming titles coming to the west over the next year.
Story of Seasons Trio of Towns (3DS)

The latest entry in the long running Bokujō Monogatari will be coming to the west in 2017. Story of Seasons Trio of Towns is launching in Japan this summer in celebration of the series 20th Anniversary in Japan.
In celebration of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the longest-running farming and life simulation series, the beloved Bokujo Monogatari franchise – now known as STORY OF SEASONS in the West – returns with its biggest adventure yet in STORY OF SEASONS: Trio of Towns. Settled on a homestead in the middle of three distinct and uniquely themed locales, players can explore a diverse landscape as they search for new ways to grow their farms and friendships. Extensive customization and gameplay options are on offer in Trio of Towns, with each village offering its own variety of regional crops, lads and ladies to romance, animals, festivals, furniture, decorations and more. More ways to play sprout up as players connect to one another locally or via the internet to chat, trade, and enhance items on a mysterious multiplayer island.

Akiba’s Beat (PS4//PS Vita)

The sequel to Akiba’s Trip will be coming to the states this Winter and will be available on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
Fate/Extella The Umbral Star (PS4/PS Vita)

Fate/Extella is the third major announcement of games that XSEED is localizing.The game will be hitting the west this winter as well for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita.
Expanding upon the extensive and much-beloved Fate universe with a standalone story from acclaimed series writer Kinoko Nasu (of Fate/stay night fame), Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star, developed by Marvelous Inc., transpires on the new world of Extella through a diverse cast of “Servants” – ancient warriors of legend and imagination, always at their Masters’ orders – who survived the Holy Grail War that took place on the Moon. In a future ruled by the all-powerful lunar super computer Moon Cell Automaton, these champions now duke it out for dominance over this digital realm, known as “SE.RA.PH.” This story takes place after the events described in Fate/EXTRA, and depicts the world after that previous Holy Grail War. Players will experience the story from the independent perspectives of the three heroine Servants and face off against foes from a variety of Fate productions, including characters from Fate/stay night, Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order, in fast-paced action. A new form change battle mechanic debuts in this entry to match its series-first gameplay style, transforming the player-controlled Servants and granting them considerable powers that allow them to devastate enemies and take formidable challenges head-on.

It seems like E3 season is in full swing with this large announcement of games coming out. XSEED will also be talking about Trails of Cold Steel II and Corpse Party 3DS and many other interesting goodies at this years E3. We will be sure to report on them as the news breaks.
Persona 5 Takes Your Heart This Valentines Day
This morning Atlus announced an official US release date for Persona 5. Persona 5 will be coming to the US on February 14, 2017, a very big contrast to Japan’s September release date. Atlus also took the time to announce a new Limited Edition and Steel Book Edition for the west.


The Take Your Heart Premium Edition comes with the following:
- Soundtrack CD: A selection of music from Persona 5 by legendary series composer Shoji Meguro in a CD wallet featuring P5 artwork.
- 4″ Morgana plush: Morgana the cat is not just the mascot of the Phantom Thieves, but is also a member–and also not just a cat! The premium edition includes an exclusive 4″ plush of Morgana.
- 64-page hardcover art book: This art book is full of concept sketches, character art, and more by character designer Shigenori Soejima.
- SteelBook: As strong as a vault, the game disc for the PS4 will come specially packaged in a SteelBook collectible case, emblazoned with Persona 5 designs.
- School bag: Designed after the traditional school bags in Japan, the exclusive replica bag comes complete with the Shujin Academy crest.

The Premium Edition will launch for for the PS4 only and is $89.99. The standard editions of the game will be available for both PS3 and PS4 costing $49.99 and $59.99 respectively.
Dragon Quest Builders Comes to the West this October
The latest Dragon Quest spin-off game Dragon Quest Builders will be making it’s way to the west this October on PlayStation Vita (digital only) and PlayStation 4. This announcement comes today in celebrating of the series 30th Anniversary. The Minecraft inspired Dragon Quest game has been a hit with many players in Japan, it will be interesting to see how well this game does in the west.

GameStop Anticipates $7.5B in Sales From the NX in its First Two Years
In a recent release from GameStop via their corporate twitter account they had this to say about the Nintendo NX
GameStop seems to be extremely optimistic about the Nintendo NX, anticipating it to bring in half the sales of that of the Wii in the systems first two years on the market. This information comes in after GameStop lays out a plan to get into the Virtual Reality market. While it’s good to see that GameStop is optimistic, it should be taken with a grain of salt, after all they also believed the Wii U would take off to be the next big thing as well. However it may be safe to assume GameStop may be privileged to some information on the NX that has not been disclosed to the public yet, sparking this level of optimism from them.
Nintendo expects to fully unveil the NX at a press event later this year. We will keep you posted on any official news about the NX as it develops.
