MegaTagmension Blanc is the latest Hyperdimension Neptunia spin off, starring our tough and tiny protagonist Blanc. This game sees itself more as a sequel to Hyperdimension Neptunia Action U in terms of gameplay, but instead of fighting waves of your standard Neptunia enemies you are fighting waves of zombies. Also our characters stay clothed this time when taking damage.  However, the similarities stop there, as this is the first game in the Neptunia series to include a multiplayer feature, and the game works completely around a co-operative experience. But how does this game hold up for being the first multiplayer centered game in the series? Let’s find out.

Why to keep Tokyo Mirage Sessions on Your Radar

*Editor’s note: This is based off of my time playing the Japanese version of the game.

If someone were to ask me who are my favorite video game developers of all time, two of the ones near the top of the list would have to be any of the many teams currently at Nintendo, and Atlus. Let me give you some backstory on how I grew to love Atlus; I honestly never heard much about Atlus, nor had I played an Atlus game (I’m not counting the impulse buy that was Conception II) until I saw the official announcement trailer for this game when it was under the name of Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem.

The latest entry in the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, Megadimension Neptunia VII is making its way to Steam this summer.

Megadimension Neptunia VII brings the next-gen battle to Steam this summer! Originally launched on the PlayStation®4 system, now PC players can enjoy the features enjoyed in the original – including new characters, three worlds to save and three stories to play, a powerful transformation mode, an updated battle system, and a new dungeon minigame! The PC version comes with the option for a smooth-as-pudding 60fps experience and the original Japanese voiceover, with bundles of the original DLC available for purchase!

It seems like Idea Factory is continuing the trend of bringing Neptunia games to PC several months after their console counterpart. Its a good thing to see more people will get a chance to play, what I think, is the best game in the series to date. To read our full review on the PS4 version click here.

Nintendo Has Shipped 4.27M Copies of Splatoon

In the recent investor’s meeting from Nintendo, Nintendo was happy to report that Splatoon’s success continues to shine even as we approach the one year anniversary  of the title. Nintendo has reported that they have shipped 4.27 million copies of Splatoon.

The driving factor behind Wii U hardware sales over the fiscal year ended March 2016 was Splatoon, released in May of last year. Strong sales have continued into 2016, leading us to ship 4.27 million units worldwide in this fiscal year. This title started off with early appeal among core gamers and has gradually spread to the young consumer and female demographics, providing an excellent illustration of Nintendo’s strengths.

Splatoon is also still extremely popular in Japan, with currently 1.49 Million units sold, and with 790,000 players participating in the most recent Splatfest in Japan alone.

Nintendo has also reported that in Japan alone the Splatoon Amiibos have sold near 1 Million units.25l.jpg

It’s really good to see a new IP from Nintendo taking off extremely well like this. It will be interesting to see how sales continue to grow, and what future the series has.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: it’s a dark and stormy night after the school festival, seven children in charge of cleaning up stop to tell a ghost story about “Heavenly Host Elementary,” and how a teacher died in the school. Shortly after, the school was shut down and destroyed. In on it – their teacher decides to spook one of the students. Shortly after, a character’s little sister stops by to bring them their umbrella as they forgot it at home. Due to the fact that another character is moving away, the cast decides to perform the “Sachiko Ever After” ritual, a ritual that works as a charm in that, once performed, you will be best friends forever with the people you did it with. In this circumstance, not only are these nine people now BFFs, they’ve also been teleported to “Heavenly Host Elementary.” If you’re familiar with this introduction, then you’ve probably played Corpse Party already on the PSP which was Corpse Party Blood Covered… Repeated Fear. In that sense, outside of some minor details, these versions are incredibly similar.
