Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami are Heading to PC. You Have No Excuse to Not Play Them
SEGA seems to be on a roll here today at E3. During the PC E3 showcase, SEGA was there to show off that Valkyria Chronicles 4, Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami are all heading to PC. While there is no date on Yakuza Kiwami or Valkyria Chronicles 4, Yakuza 0 will be available for purchase on Steam for $19.99 and will be releasing in August. You can currently pre-order it for only $17.99 right now here, here and here. Of course you can expect the ability to play these games at a stunning 4k resolution and at fluid 60fps. Be on the look out for more coverage of these PC ports!
Shining Resonance Refrain Launches on July 10th
Today SEGA has announced that their upcoming JRPG Shining Resonance Refrain launches in the west on July 10th.
The island of Alfheim is under siege by the Empire of Lombardia, and it’s up to Yuma Ilvern, the boy with the soul of the Shining Dragon, and his new companions, to fight back! Get ready to jump into battle when Shining Resonance Refrain launches on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, Xbox One™, and Steam® for PC on July 10!-PR
- First off, we’re introduced to Kirika Towa Alma, the Diva of Nature. She uses her bow to deal damage from a distance while supporting allies with healing magic.
- Next, we meet Sonia Blanche, the Lightning Princess. Fierce, yet elegant, she darts across the battlefield with her sword and shield, dealing damage to single targets in quick bursts.
- Following Sonia, Agnum Bulletheart, the Pyromaestro makes his appearance. Always aiming to be the center of attention, Agnum deals massive damage to large groups of enemies with explosive fire magic.
- Cooling things down after Agnum’s appearance, we have Lestin Sera Alma, the Glacier Sentinel. He uses ice magic to slow down enemies before cleaving through them with his trusty halberd.
- Rinna, the Whirlwind Sylph brings some cheer to the party with her lighthearted attitude. She deals heavy damage from the back lines with powerful magic abilities.
- Finally, we meet Yuma himself. Armed with the power of the Shining Dragon, he fights with dragon-like ferocity to protect his friends.
Shining Resonance Refrain Heading Westward Summer 2018
This morning SEGA USA has announced that Shinning Resonance Refrain will be heading to the west this Summer on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Xbox One.
Liberate the soul of the dragon within you this Summer in Shining Resonance Refrain! Coming to PlayStation® 4, Nintendo Switch™, the family of Xbox One Devices including Xbox One X, and PC for Steam®, Shining Resonance Refrain will tell the tale of sword-wielding Yuma and his friends as they fight the Empire. Yakuza 6 Song of Life Delayed Until April 17th, Demo Available Later this Month
This afternoon SEGA has announced that the latest entry of the Yakuza series Yakuza 6 Song of Life will not be released until April 17th. While this may not be the best news to hear SEGA has also confirmed that there will be a playable demo of Yakuza 6 Song of Life ready for you to play on February 27th.
So while it is sad to see that the game is being pushed back into April, I am happy that fans will be able to try the game out early before they buy it! It also seems like this will be the same demo that released for the Japanese release of Yakuza 6 as your save data will be able to carry over. It also seems like SEGA has some more plans for the Yakuza series as well that they will be sharing with us in the upcoming weeks. We will be sure to keep you updated as the news breaks!
Valkyria Chronicles 4 Confirmed for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One
A week ago SEGA released a teaser for an unknown Valkyria game, today we learn that the unknown game is Valkyria Chronicles 4! You can check out the detailed trailer for the game here.

SEGA Shares Insight on Yakuza 6’s Localization and Boxart is Revealed
On the official PlayStation blog, SEGA has released some more information on their upcoming title Yakuza 6. They go into detail on how they went about localizing the game and the joys and hurdles of this challenge.
You are tasked with translating an epic, 50-hour adventure from one language to another — including visual cues and UI elements — with a massive story, while maintaining cultural relevance, jokes, and idioms for your new audience. All without compromising the intent, message, and drama of any given scene. This was essentially our task for Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, and we wanted to share some of the hurdles (And joys!) of this process.

To add more to this new information SEGA has also officially unveiled the Yakuza 6 cover art for the western release! The art for the game seems to really drive home the theme of the game and looks quite exciting!

Fist of the North Star Game Announced by Yakuza Team
This morning during the Yakuza presentation, it was announced that the Yakuza team will be heading up a Fist of the North Star game.
This was truly a surprise this morning, it looks like this game will be taking the best of the Yakuza universe and merging it with Fists of the North Star. Fist of the North Star will launch on PlayStation 4 in 2018. Stay tuned for further updates on this game. More will be shown at the Tokyo Game Show.
Yakuza 2 Kiwami Announced
This morning SEGA has announced that Yakuza Kiwami 2 is indeed real, and is being made from the ground up in Yakuza 6’s Dragon Engine. Not only will the game be getting an entire visual overhaul, but there will also be a lot of extra content as well. For example, an entire chapter starring Goro Majima will be added.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 looks very impressive in the Dragon Engine! We look forward to seeing more of this game as news develop! No word on a western release date as of yet, but I expect to hear something as we get closer to Yakuza 6’s launch in the west!

Yakuza Kiwami 2 Leaked Ahead of Saturday’s Yakuza Conference
It seems like some news may have accidentally leaked onto the Taiwanese PlayStation Store ahead of Saturday’s Yakuza event. Yakuza Kiwami 2 briefly made it’s way onto the storefront’s listing before being taken down quickly.
According to the translation, Yakuza Kiwmai 2 will be a remake of Yakuza 2, however, instead of being remade in the Yakuza 0 engine like the first Yakuza Kiwami, it seems like it will be remade in the Yakuza 6 engine. However this is all still speculation until SEGA announces their upcoming Yakuza news this weekend. We will be sure to keep you posted as the news breaks! Yakuza 6 Launches in the West on March 20th, Launch Edition and Premium Edition Announced
This morning SEGA USA has announced that Yakuza 6 The Song of Life will be launching in North America and Europe on March 20th, and have also announced a Launch Edition and Premium Edition of the game.
