Yakuza 6 Launches in the West on March 20th, Launch Edition and Premium Edition Announced

Yakuza6_logo_wht_png_1502996813.pngThis morning SEGA USA has announced that Yakuza 6 The Song of Life will be launching in North America and Europe on March 20th, and have also announced a Launch Edition and Premium Edition of the game.

The Dragon of Dojima has had a long and weary road brawling with endless thugs and belted his heart out to countless karaoke tunes in the Yakuza series, and it’s time for one more story. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, the final chapter of long time protagonist Kazuma Kiryu’s story, is coming to the West on March 20, 2018 for PlayStation®4! The game will be will be available for the suggested retail price of $59.99/CA$79.99 in the Americas, £49.99 in the United Kingdom, €59.99 in the rest of Europe, and A$89.99 in Australia.
In Yakuza 6, Kiryu will find out exactly how much people are willing to sacrifice for family – be those ties through blood or bond – when he investigates a series of shadowy events that involve the ones he holds closest to his heart. He’ll journey to familiar grounds in Kamurocho and the new setting of Onomichi, a beautiful, sleepy port town in Hiroshima Prefecture, in order to find the answers he seeks. Powered by the brand-new Dragon Engine, the game is the ultimate iteration of Yakuza’s blend of gritty crime story, hyper-explosive combat, and all the vices and distractions those locales have to offer.
Since Yakuza 6 is Kiryu’s last outing as the main protagonist in Yakuza, it’s just proper to release the game with our first-ever premium edition! The ultra-classy “After Hours Premium Edition” contains the perfect tools to lounge like a true yakuza:

Cyberdimension Neptunia Hits PS4 Oct 10th, Steam Delayed till Early 2018

Today Idea Factory International announced a release date for the upcoming Hyperdimension Neptunia spin off Cyberdimension Neptunia.

The world of Alsgard calls! Cyberdimension Neptunia™: 4 Goddesses Online will release on the PlayStation®4 system October 10 (NA) and October 13 (EU) in both physical and digital formats. To ensure a smooth gameplay experience, the Steam version of the game has been rescheduled for an early 2018 launch.

It’s good to see that Cyberdimension Neptunia will be releasing in the US and Europe this Fall as opposed to this Winter! Sadly this seems to have come at the cost of the Steam version of the game, which was delayed until early 2018. You can check out the latest trailer here:

No news on a limited edition yet, hopefully we will see it as we get closer to launch!

Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5 Dancing Star Night Announced

It seems like there is no breaks on the Persona hype train. At the most recent Persona concert we got confirmation of of not only a Persona 3 Dancing game, but a Persona 5 Dancing game to boot. Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5 Dancing Star Night will be hitting Japan on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita Spring 2018. You can check out the respective trailers:

Glad to see we have playable doors in this game, and more Lotus Juice is a treat for everyone.

Will not lie this one shocked me, I thought for sure Persona 5 Arena would be the first spin off, but this games music sounds on point too.

So 2018 is shaping up to be a big year for Persona fans, with more announcements on the horizon. Will we see some news of the elusive Persona Q 2? Well maybe.

Dragon Quest XI Echoes of an Elusive Age Heading Westward in 2018

Today Square Enix has delivered on some awesome news that a lot of Dragon Quest fans have been hoping to hear. Localization of Dragon Quest XI has officially begun!

 Fans of great stories, captivating art and alluring music are certain to rejoice with today’s announcement from SQUARE ENIX® that DRAGON QUEST® XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age TM will be coming to the West next year.

The highly anticipated latest entry to the beloved DRAGON QUEST video game franchise follows the adventure of a hero who must solve the mystery of his fate with the aid of a charming cast of supporting characters. DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age will offer a world of adventure, exploration and instances of heroism— all brought to life by the character art of famed manga artist Akira Toriyama and the memorable music of composer Koichi Sugiyama.

More details about the Western version will be revealed in Fall 2017.

It’s really awesome to see Square Enix bringing more Dragon Quest goodness to the west! So far we do not know which versions of the game are being localized. The game just recently released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS in Japan, with a Switch version in development. It’s safe to assume we will at least get the PlayStation 4 version, but let’s hope Square Enix will have some awesome news for Nintendo fans as well this fall!

New English Persona 5 Trailer Shows off the Velvet Room and Persona Fusions

Atlus USA has released a new trailer and a ton of screenshots showcasing the new Velvet Room and how one goes about Persona fusions in this game. Now let me tell you this, it’s pretty intense!

The trailer itself shows off Igor’s new voice actor and the english voices of his two new assistance. Check it out, but be wary of spoilers in the comments!

Yakuza 0 is the latest entry in the long running Yakuza series and acts as a prequel to the series as well. In this game you get a closer look into the back stories of the series two biggest characters: main protagonist Kazamu Kiyru, and Majima Goro. Here we see their life from their early days in the Japanese criminal underworld, and get an idea of what led them to where they are now in the current Yakuza games. So how does this prequel fair for the overall series? Well, I am hoping my review can give my experience in this game justice.

It’s that time of the year everyone! Welcome to the first annual Gaming Gamma Game of the Year Awards! Here we pit the best of the best games we reviewed this year against each other for the title of Game of the Year!  We only have a few simple rules on how a game can be nominated for our sites GOTY award:
